The Flask, an old coaching house which dates back to at least the 17th century, virtually backs onto Highgate Cemetery. Partially subterranean, at least one of its many nooks and snugs was in the past used for autopsies, and retains a damp coolness today.
This warm and friendly pub, is home to a variety of spirits including a Spanish barmaid, a cavalier and a hooded dark spectre. In the past it has been the scene of frequent bursts of poltergeist activity.
