I am very pleased to announce that “A Walk Around Haunted Highgate with Paranormal Authors Della Farrant and Paul Adams” is now live on YouTube. Filming took place on location in Highgate, at around midnight, after the Muswell Hill Geisterfest on Hallowe’en – hence Paul any myself still being in full costume!
I am very grateful to Paul for his passion and enthusiasm for the filming project. Likewise to Drew Hartley and Dave Milner who co-ordinated the filming and gave up a lot of their time, and to Redmond McWilliams for helping out as sound operative and reminding me of key dates when I got stage fright!
During the film Paul and I go on a paranormal ramble around Highgate, taking in the cemetery’s three gates, Pond Square (haunt of the infamous frozen chicken!), The Gatehouse and The Flask.
Interestingly, despite both sets of cameras being tested the previous evening and running on fresh batteries, peculiar anomalies occurred on both sets of film, which have had to be edited from this documentary. Look out for an ‘extras’ film featuring these. A third anomaly is included in the film, a photograph taken by Redmond McWilliams using a Samsung ST60 Digital Camera (12MP, 4x Optical Zoom, 2.7 inch TFT Screen 28mm wide angle, 4x Optical Zoom Lens). It can be seen at approximately 26 minutes in, and below. This image was one of approximately 8 taken in sequence, none of which showed similar light anomalies.
Paul Adams is the author of dozens of paranormal titles including ‘The Borley Rectory Companion’ which he co-authored with Peter Underwood in 2009, and ‘Written in Blood : A Cultural History of the British Vampire’ (2014). You can find out much more about Highgate Cemetery’s ghosts in Haunted Highgate by Della Farrant (History Press 2014), which is available on Amazon (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Haunted-Highgate-Della-Farrant/dp/0750958316) or signed from the author at http://www.davidfarrant.org/publications
We all hope you enjoy the film!
