This phrase was uttered a lot on Hallowe’en in Swains Lane, Highgate, not least by myself, Lorcan Maguire, David Milner, Redmond McWilliams and Drew Hartley. If you liked the photoshoot I did at lunchtime on that day with Lorcan Maguire of Newton Photographic, it is a testament to his professionalism that he made it look so easy! It wasn’t, especially as it was the hottest Hallowe’en on record. Here are some stills from the shoot, just for light-hearted entertainment’s sake, which might give someone who has never been to Highgate Cemetery or Swains Lane an idea of just how difficult it is to swerve passing cars and conscientious landscape gardeners whilst trying to take a few harmless snaps! The poor guys at the cemetery are quite used to it at this time of year fortunately, and were incredibly amicable really. Thanks to Drew for the footage these stills are taken from.
